Since the formation of the Livonia Save Our Youth Task Force, we have had many great opportunities and positive feedback from the community in support of our efforts. There have also been a number of informative articles that provide educational topics regarding alcohol and substance abuse.

Town Hall Meeting
On February 8, 2007, The task force held a Town Hall Meeting at Livonia City Hall. The evening was a great success and held more than 300 attendees. The Panelist included:
- Diane Montes, a mother affected by heroin in the community and President of the Livonia Save Our Youth Task Force
- Dr. Mark Menestrina of SEMCA and Brighton Hospital
- Dr. Michael Calise of Saint Mary Mercy Hospital
- Ron Harrison, a treatment professional for more than 25 years
- Dennis Hinze of Livonia Public Schools
- Danielle, a young Livonia citizen in recovery from addiction
- Doug and Ellie, a mother and son who shared their experience of Doug's addiction and recovery
